Water Well Design:

The efficient recovery of groundwater requires a water well with a design that minimizes drawdown. Excessive drawdown results in many problems, including higher energy costs and increased frequency of maintenance. The proper design takes into account the quantity of water required, the diameter of the pump necessary to recover the quantity of water required, the permeability of the aquifer, the fluids in the aquifer, and the aquifer material. HCL has provided the services for the development of groundwater supplies from water wells that are over 200 metres deep, with yields in excess of 30,000 cubic metres per day, and with diameters of more than 400 millimetres. As the cost of energy rises and as maintenance costs increase, the need for an efficient water well becomes more cost effective.
